Wonder what Johnson is thinking this morning.

Through Nov and Dec he was arguably our best player registering assists and goals. Would easily have had a couple more assists if we had any strikers with even an ounce of anticipation.

But then since he had COVID he hasn't looked the same and struggled to get back in the team. Wonder whether he is going to feel pushed out and revert to the Johnson of old or rise to the challenge and up his game again. Hope it's the latter as really enjoyed watching him when he's played well

Think he may struggle for minutes now to be honest. He’s still a good player to have though and you would hope he sees it as a challenge and rises to it.

The new players will be one game wonders and he'll be back in. He's started three games in January, Wycombe win, Norwich draw and Birmingham loss. Thought Norwich was his best game.

Thought he was poor against Norwich personally. Not as bad as Saville but one of our worst performers on the day.

What makes you think the new lads will be 1 game wonders? Kebano is very highly rated by Fulham fans is widely regarded as a brilliant signing. I’d be amazed if he didn’t start 90 percent of games between now and end of season.

Hes been pretty anonymous not even trying to take on his man, maybe due to a lack of fitness (long covid)

NML and Bolasie aren't fully match fit don't forget. NML in particular I'd imagine will be bench at best for a few weeks.

Tav is injured too. So plenty of opportunity for Johnson to stake his claim you'd think. If he keeps performing he'll keep his place.

He'll still play a big part, no doubt about it.

We've now got two options for that position a d the same across right hand side too, in Kabano and NML.

For every position we need competition and we have that now, Johnson will still have a big say in the run in.

True but I would expect Kebano to come straight in. Watmore should start to for the time being. Warnock seems to want to get Bolasie in where he can too so I’d imagine he will still in the team. Hopefully Johnson does take his chances when he gets them as he’s been good this season and he’s a get a half yard and cross it type player which is something different to the tricky more forward type lads we have signed.

Hopefully NML is upto speed fairly quickly as he is a powerhouse on form

He's still good value for at least another year contract (like Howson got).

He's been one of the more consistent and let's not forget he played on last season when out of contract when others didn't. He can play wide or a a wingback.

I think he's been struck down badly with covid. Warnock said he shouldn't have played against brum. I also think Watmore is still looking a bit ' jaded'

Their is nothing to say Lang or Bolasie will rip up the league. I think Johnson will get his chances and also he's probably first choice back up for Bola ahead of Coulson. I wouldnt rule out Bola slotting in a CB at times as we ain't stacked with cover.

I'd be happy to see him pen a new deal. Who knows maybe he's been offered one ages ago and staling? That's why he's not playing (nothing to back that up.... Just a thought).

Still has a part to play, remember two of these new signings have barely played since last season, NML hasn't even had a club.

Also can see him filling in as a LWB if we have to go to 3 at the back, Bola could go to CB if we have an injury.

I would like to see him tied for for a further 2 years. I think he will stall for now though and see if he still gets game time. All these lads are only short term deals though he needs to remember

I hoping we play Kebano as a 10 as that’s probably his best position. Not sure Warnock will change formation though, although he should consider it given what’s at his disposal.

I doubt NW will deviate too much from a 433, maybe occasionally to suit the opposition, or if we are behind in a game.

Kabano is probably best as a 10, but not convinced we'll see him play that role much.

I know it will be a shame if we don’t try it though. Some games there is no need for the Midfield combo of Howson Sav and Morsy. You are probably right though, I can’t see Warnock changing it now but would like to be proved wrong. Will be interesting to see how he shares the minutes out now

Yes, I think there will be a lot of rotation across the front 3 positions now. Can't remember when we had so many options for the wide attacking positions- probably not since the promotion season.

I think 1 who defiently won’t see much action now is Spence.
Definitely. Not writing him off by an stretch but I'll be really disappointed if these signings aren't offering more going forward than he does at the moment. Think he needs to get his head down accept that he is going to be a bit part player for the rest of the season and focus on coming back stronger next season.

I thought Johnson had one of his better defensive games against Norwich and put in our best cross of the match.

My expectations are usually low for new signings as they usually haven't played a lot of football in recent times. Fisher was good against us, as was their LB, so I hoped he'd do well. I was surprised at the plaudits for Bolasie, who was ineffective and looked totally unfit. He was out of position and hasn't played for some time, but Akpom had a much better debut. Kebano hasn't started a league game since 12 September. Mendez-Laing sounds a great signing, but it's a long time since he's kicked a ball.

I agree might be a while before NML breaks in but do think Bolasie and Kebano will be regulars. May still leave room for Johnson for the time being if we go 4231 but I would Watmore starting too. Great to have options anyway! Hopefully Marvin relishes the challenge

If you get Covid, then it's likely to have to take a while before you are back to full fitness/sharpness and mentally back to normal. Everyone is effected differently. He needs time
