Jorgen Strand Larsen

Hated Pulis but was he worse than Strachen ???
As I say Stacham was awful but at least he did buy players he thought would be good as they all had pedigree when he signed them. They didn’t work out.

Pullis though sold players so we had to play hoof ball with 4 centre backs and no mf spark by design.

That was his vision.

You think Robson a man who completely changed the culture of the club was unsuccessful? He left us in a far better position than before he came.
Robson managed to get a team with some of the best players in the world relegated and was about to again until El Tel came in. Yes the appointment transformed the club, but he wasn’t a good manager, more a talisman. Great player, but mediocre manager imho, who underachieved with us.

It still knarks me to this day. We just needed to sign a no 10 to replace Ramirez and we could have had Bamford and Stuani battle it out for the no 9 role.

Then Pulis comes out and says we have 5 players all wanting to be no 9 and sarcastically described it as "wonderful recruitment", whilst failing to recognise that he'd contributed to the problem by selling Bamford and replacing him with Hugill, meaning we still had 5 strikers all wanting to be the no 9.

Instead of Assombalonga, Braithwaite and Gestede.. we should have had Jordan Hugill in on loan

It's a tough call. Strachan, Pulis and Monk..

Very similar characters, all crap managers that wasted tons of money and kept us from being promoted.

Tony Pulis played some of the worst football I have ever seen in my life.. with good players too.

Give Gordon Strachan the squad Pulis and Monk had.. and I think he might get a tune out of them.

Give Tony Pulis the same budget as Garry Monk and you get the same amount of dodgy deals.. maybe more!

Pulis for all his faults (particularly transfer dealings and style of play) still managed to get us in the play-offs (in no small part due to Traore) and just outside the playoffs before he left. I think that is much better than both Monk and Strachan.
I cant think of a worse manager than WGS, so that's not a particularly high bar to set!

And Monk didn't get the bullet for the club's position in the league table, however modest it was, it was other 'issues' connected to transfers, which he refutes of course.

Pulis' football was so bad I gave up watching, after having a ST since around 86. It was turgid and destroyed any joy I got from watching my team play to be blunt.

Strong rumour on oneboro he’s had medical today and potential announcement within next couple of days!!

If we’re willing to splash £7.5m on this lad the club has learned nothing from past mistakes - would be a huge gamble imo, and we’re in no position to make huge gambles
Let’s just wait and see before jumping to conclusions. Lad could be the absolute business for all we know.

Pulis did well to harness Traores talents and get us into the play offs.

He seemed to freeze in the big matches v Villa with poor tactics and team selection.

His second season we blew it in that inexplicable run of defeats.

I‘d say he did ok but disappointingly fell short at the business end.

£7.5m.....deduct the Mel Morris money, Forest / Spence loan money, pay in installments......he's virtually a free transfer 😁😁.
Very little risk IMO unless he is absolute dogsh*t - like Gestede bad.
Never heard of him until yesterday so I'll have to wait and see.
