He said the Morgan Rogers deal came out of the blue and that pushed up the price of a striker we were after.. beyond what we wanted to spend.Remember lads, Scott said not one player who fit the model was available.... Mental aint it. millions of football players available and not one fit the model. I worry about the summer.....
Ah, found it, today's 'get your knickers in a twist' thread.
So you don’t sell Roger’s or you make Villa make up the short fall.He said the Morgan Rogers deal came out of the blue and that pushed up the price of a striker we were after.. beyond what we wanted to spend.
If Villa come in for Rogers we can’t turn it down for that sort of money. Villa would never pay more than £16m just because we want to spend more money. If that was the case.. why not make it £50m or £100m!So you don’t sell Roger’s or you make Villa make up the short fall.
As that makes no sense.
We dropped a clanger in January.. give him the operation and bring the academy lads in.Obviously we don't know the details, but I'm surprised this hasn't been operated on. It's dragging on and on
Technically, I don't think there is one. And anyway, as the transcript shows, he said it was an operation - but then went on to describe it as "a procedural one." I think what that probably means is that it was a laparoscopy, rather than 'open' surgery. Laparoscopy is quite often referred to as a procedure rather than an operation for whatever reason, although the distinction is more a question of semantics. What's the difference between a procedure and an op?
