Kieron Scott

That’s the big question as it’s been quite yelling at least to me how little interest other clubs have shown in him.

West Brom hull etc
And funnily enough he was installed bookies favourite for Burnley and Bournemouth while in a job (for less than 12 months - odd links) but since being available hasn’t seemed to be in the running for any of the vacancies - WBA, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Villa. Makes you think his team were leaking these links

He’s been putting a few hundered on it himself!

Because total control from one man isn’t our set up anymore. And isn’t for the majority of clubs to be honest.
Agree!
While it’s definitely been difficult pinning down all of the facts behind Wilder’s demise, there‘s one thing I will be remembering for sure…
I wanted him to be successful FOR Boro not just AT Boro. Sadly he was far too much ME and not enough WE.

i don't know what his comments meant but they're conveniently timed when there are threads on here asking what he actually does, and how he is meant to be in charge of that golden thread but we aren't seeing the results. Either way, there are two sides to every story and "reading between the lines" doesn't do anyone any good as there is an absence of fact, but as we've seen above this is usually coupled with other "facts" like players downing tools and our "drop in form", which has been debunked above and we still had players not getting on the pitch or playing terribly under Leo, was his head turned?

Unless wilder does a piece on it we won't hear it from his side, so arguing about it is fairly pointless as no one's going to change their mind about it.

I was really enthused about Kieron Scott when he joined but I've yet to see any concrete benefits come to pass since his appointment.
I agree, there's not anything in terms of the direction of the club, or signings, or Scott's general demeanour that gives any suggestion that we should have any confidence in him

I quite liked that comment. Found it refreshing that he wasn’t bothered about titles and that the most important thing is the club and that he is very much a club man.
I took it differently, in that he wasn't bothered about a title, because he knew what he was doing whatever the title might say, and that was management - he mentioned it quite a few times about starting into management.
The better the performances and results the more power he will carry and Scott can be left to give Carrick a wide choice of players whose attributes Carrick will have defined.

His comment about not being bothered about being called a head coach, rather than a manager was a bit odd, why wouldn’t you want total control?
Coaches the team, picks the team, identifies players, thumbs up, thumbs down for transfers.

Do you really think he wants to be on the blower all the time sorting out contracts and dealing with agents?

NDA's dont have to be tied to him getting another job (even if he has an NDA in the first place). I love the way people assume that as soon as he has another job he'll be outlining exactly what happened in detail.

It'll take years to come out, if it ever does.
I'm not so sure, he was never out of the local press when he left Blades.

I think he misunderstood the question actually. Basically he doesn't mind what he's called but there is usually a distinction (in terms of responsibilities) btwn head coach and manager so hopefully that's been explained to him in advance!

There is a distinction, traditionally speaking, but I'm not sure what practical difference there will be between Carrick and Wilder.

I guess very little,if any, other than the label.

You get it all the time in workplaces. Everyone wants to be manager of this that or the other, or President, Executive vice president, Director, Assistant Director. Carrick seems very assured of his role and that he is the manager/head coach whatever you want to call it, and will make the key decisions. That's all that is needed not a fancy title!

That’s how I saw it as well head coach manager it’s all the same and just a word. I’m the boss

You're describing title not role there.

Carrick said he's unconcerned about his title, which is probably true. What his actual role is will have been carefully discussed and agreed between all parties.
