Seriously though, it was big when it was a single screen cinema and would make a good venue either whole or divided up.
However, the Odeon was in much better condition and they tore it down. It would have made a great O2 academy.

I was saddened the first time I went home and saw the Odeon had been flattened.
For me it was an iconic building and very much part of my childhood.

Absolutely insane that was allowed to happen.. we could have has an O2 Academy on one side of the road and a Manchester Deaf Institute type of venue with the Cleveland Scientific Institute. HOW GOOD WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN!!
