Every one of them went against us. hope we get a bit of luck on Saturday, Swansea looked a good team with pace and height. We will have to be on our game to get a result. Johnson needs to start.

Yet, we win back to back games you know we will be right on the cusp of the playoffs. If you look at teams over a season, not the last 5 games, you will see awful inconsitancies in all of them. It's the nature of the league.

I agree laughing, but it's always a sad time of the season when we start to hope/rely on other teams inconsistencies being worse than our own. UTB.

The results don’t go against us. We need to put enough points on the table that will leave us in the top six at the end of the season. Teams go through winning streaks the same as they struggle at times. The table at any point in the season is not how it is guaranteed it will finish.
All the teams around us can’t go on a 12 game winning streak. We need to start stringing a couple of wins in the trot to show that. No pressure on us from where we were last season to where we are now.. nothing is expected.

We are now down to relying on other results going our way...... Not for the first time.

Frankly, if we were any good we could achieve things by our own devices. Still keeps the dream alive for improving Boro!!

We need to put points on the table and that is the same for any club. If we are looking for promotion we need to hit promotion form.

We have not had a run like Barnsley or Cardiff this season, so now would be a good time for it to happen and is needed if we are to make the playoff's. I just hope we keep the season alive and not find ourselvesd out of it with 3-4 games to go.
If we can make the playoffs anything can happen, maybe the only game we get to go to en masse is at Wembley?

With 36 points available to us it’s not other teams we need to be concerned about it’s our own form. New and injured players settle in and settle down there’s no reason to assume we can’t put a run together at some point.

Points wise you could even argue that over the last six games we‘re in as good or better form than three of the eight above us.

Hopefully we have had our dodgy spell and with the new lads settling in we can push on and give it a good go. What other teams do is out of our hands.

The issue I have is the sheer inconsistency we have had and continue to show - no matter who plays. We are a club playing without a recognised striker of note. That won’t alter. Would love to see us go on a run of 5-6 wins on the bounce. Realistically I can’t see it.

If we have to have a central striker - and I wouldn't by the way, I'd play a 3 of bolasie, watmore and kebano - then I'd try Johnson up top, I think he could turn out to be a good striker at this level.

Back to the post, there's no point worrying about other results.

We need to win games, with that in mind I think the mindset needs to change. Recently the team that has finished the game has been more aggressive and has scored the goals. We need to go out from the off to win the game rather than controlling the game.

Tough ask but still in it, a 4 point gap to Millwall, 5 to Stoke so is it two from Reading, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Barnsley and us?

Have faith boys, our form is, surprisingly good enough to get us in the playoffs, and it will improve as our injuries and new additions get back up to speed.

Norwich - Pukki 18 Buendía 10
Brentford - Ivan Toney 25
Watford - João Pedro 9 Ismaila Sarr 8 Troy Deeney 7
Swansea - André Ayew 11 Jamal Lowe 9
Reading - Lucas João 20
Bournmouth - Solanke 10 Stanislas 10
Barnsley - Woodrow 12 Mowatt 6
Cardiff - Kieffer Moore 16
Boro - Duncan Watmore 6

Ashley Fletcher having played on 10 games and Marcus Browne only playing 8 have been massive losses for us.

You would expect to see us similar to Watford and Swansea with Britt on for and Fletcher fully fit.

Britt Assombalonga has massivly underperformed in terms of goal return! playing 29 games and only returning 5 goals (on par with George Saville)
