Nice to see him come on and show his undoubted potential. He linked up well with other players and made some timely interceptions. I’m not too sure if it’s too early to give him a start against Watford but he’s definitely got a big future. Definitely loan bait for next season, even though he’s still very young (17) he seems to have matured very quickly and maybe he’ll be in the first team before he’s 19.

Mathews is rapid. Looks very sharp. Would love to see a bit more of him
