I loved it when he burst onto the scene with us. Scored some absolutely great goals, before it all rather fizzled out. I still would not mind seeing him come off the bench for us now, if we needed a late goal.

Jason Steele talked him into returning to football as a kid after he was released from Darlington. Steele was managing a Sunday League team in his spare time.

Played for Newton Aycliffe, Seaham and then Shildon before Boro found him at 20 years old.

Now he's the captain of Reading with over 100 games in the championship, 100 games in league 1, and 30+ goals.

He's definitely got a goal in him. I have nothing but respect for him. You hardly ever see this type of 'Roy of the Rovers' stuff. He was working in a bath factory at one point.

I imagine he's one a decent wage at Reading. I'd like to think he can play on for another few years and set himself up for life. It's hard to say as he was so late into the game.

He was linked with a move to the champo last summer. The likes of PNE and Millwall were mentioned. I'd be surprised if he's not again this summer. Possibly one of the teams who come out of league one into the champo. A 2-3 year deal at a champo club would be a decent payday.

He certainly has an impressive goals real on YouTube. You give him a Brazilian name and you were signing him you'd think you had some player

Good career the lad is having. You can’t teach someone to strike the ball like he does. Just not quite mobile enough and lacking in a bit of technique to get right to the top.

He would be a great ringer in a 5 a side team.
