Looks like payero to Boca

If true such a shame think he would have come good. Not a wilder player .I think our Aussie will have a good season in midfield we have good options in that position.

Really poor from the club, spend a huge amount on a young lad from abroad yet wrote him off after one season where we had a change in manager with a huge change in style, he had injury problems, didn’t know the language and barely got a chance for a decent run of games.

We saw enough when he played to show he had potential, and someone from the club must have seen enough potential to spend 5 million on him last summer

Another example of the clubs transfer strategy just being completely bizarre, also doesn’t exactly send a great message to potential signings from abroad

Bit of a strange signing. Wilder obviously doesn't really fancy him, but I'd say he is more a Wilder player than a Warnock player, which makes it an even weirder that he was signed under his watch. I think maybe chucking him into that Blackpool game with the kids was a serious blunder. He never stood a chance without speaking any English and his confidence never recovered. Maybe Warnock thought the same after that performance.

if he's as good as a large proportion of fans on here seem to think then an 18 month loan at Boca, a top team with a proven record as a hunting ground for top European clubs, is only a good thing. Goes there, does a spence and in 18 months he's going to Villareal for 20 million!

Something doesn’t sit well with Payero, we manage to get hold of a top Argentinian youngster, bring him over, he hardly gets a chance in a disappointing team which fell well short at the season end and then he is discarded.

Surely we can do better than this?
Think there’s a bit more to it than that.

I'm sorry but if he left tomorrow I'd have no memories of him after a season. Cardiff away? That's about it.

Whatever we paid for him appears too much. Although an 18 month loan seems daft. I guess it pays his wages for the remainder of his contact.

A poor signing. I am convinced it wasn't warnock and Wilder didn't fancy him. So f*ck knows who bought him.

When people on here were getting excited . I saw him in the olympics before he joined us. I thought then he wasnt a flair player. I said at the time he was more like a doriva type and still stick bybthat. Although still surprised we letting him go so soon. Must be true he himself is pushing for move home.

Keep seeing £5m bandied about. I’d be stunned if we spent £5m on him. Possibly made up in add one but im pretty sure we wouldn’t have actually parted with £5m last summer.

if this happens, we need to make sure there is a clause that allows us to cancel the loan at 6 or 12 months. If he plays a blinder at Boca and a top spanish club comes knocking, we need the option of selling to them and not continuing with the loan. Use this loan to drive interest and value up.
