Real shame. Odd signing seen as warnock and wilder never seem to trust him. Suppose injuries didnt help.

In my opinion was different to what we have and with a good set of strikers could have flourished.

Surely if he goes we need another midfielder unless munce steps up

He came so close, covid pretty much ruined him. A few injuries at the wrong time and it looks like his journey with us has come to an end. The new Bruno Zucculini?
 
Twitter rumours but plenty on argentinan accounts tweeting it.

Looks like were definitely going down the trusted championship experienced route which is a good thing I suppose. No excuses this season
 
Other than the Cardiff game .. he never did anything else .. Ok, there was the odd flash to show that he had something .. but a lot of the time he seemed like he was 3 yards off the pace ..

Yes, because he was way off the pace .. true, injuries and covid .. but even when he was fit and able .. he ran around like a lost little boy at times .. he obviously has talent but he just didn't seem suited to the pace of the Championship .. somebody said on Twitter .. "if he wasn't South American, nobody would care" .. and nobody would.
 
I think we will live to regret this. I think Payero had the potential to be a real player and could have been anything at the Boro but for stupid injuries and a lack of confidence on the part of him and those that managed him. Clearly not in Wilder’s plans or not settled on Teesside hence being shipped back to Argentina but this for me is a massive one that got away.
 
Tbh he does look sluggish in thought and speed maybe why hes overlooked. You look at someone like crooks and his style is much more suited to this league at much lesser cost
 
Best of luck to him, strange signing, who signed him - will we ever know?

We'll survive, I'm pretty sure of that. Sad, but he will be forgotten about by September when we are 6 points clear at the top .......😁😁
