Why can’t people just applaud and be happy for the lad, there’s no need need for any “buts” or “maybes”. After the torrid time he had at Sheffield Wed and the dogs abuse he got after there. Is clearly more of a man in him than some on here.

The lad has cojones, his left foot has some power in it.

Some of the venom aimed at him and others within the club was totally out of order on here, he’s silenced them tonight with a great performance.

You could see his reaction after he set up the first goal, he has clearly gone through the mill psychologically. Showed a great attitude

In the first half Engel was in acres of space most of the time out wide and forward on the left but no-one was passing to him. At times you could see that a diagonal ball out to him would have put him through on goal. I think Carrick must have had a word with the players at half time because they kept giving him the ball in the second half. Pleased for the lad.

As I said on another thread I think Cardiff were leaving that pass on, must have thought he was easy to target but he played a blinder once he started getting the passes

I was gutted he had a rough start and after I was bigging him up aswell.. glad he had a great game looked like an absolute boss as his confidence grew. Was defo thrown in at the deal end when he arrived.. maybe that was forced..who knows. Great stuff anyway!
