I watched “in his own words” last night, entertaining!

Saw him in the Free Trade Hall inOctober (I think) 1975. Never laughed so hard in all my life. I'd been at university in Scotland since 1971 so I'd heard some of his stuff before and wasn't bamboozled by the accent. I think that was the time when he made the appearance on Parkinson that introduced him to the English.Comedy never the same since.

My Dad used to bring the cassette tapes home when he was working in Scotland. Must have been 76/77. Whole family in creases. Happy birthday Big Yin
