He's our best finisher IMO.
But I still don't see him as a #9
I much prefer him coming in off the right, than being a straight up forward.
Glad he's back, because he has a goal in him and we can now start giving Jones a breather or two during games/fixtures.
My worry with Forss is his injury record, hopefully he can get a run of games from now till the end of the season without any disruptions.
Stuani mk2?He's our best finisher IMO.

Agree he seem to manage to find more space drifting in from wide, he's always struggled a bit up front to get into games. That said it's a while sinnce he played there so may well now have more impact. He's our best finisher IMO.

Agree, think we will see a very similar line up to be honest for the Rotherham game. His career with us 13 goals in 2,409 minutes. That's a goal every 185 minutes.....almost exclusively from the wing too.
Imagine what he can do if we can get ball to him at CF. Looks like he will finally get a bit of game time at CF for the next 4-6 weeks. Coburn will be managed though that period, Lath is surely going to be out at least a month and then will managed when he comes back. It may be Forss and a new CF fighting for (or sharing) that starting role.
I suspect he won't start against Rotherham, because we have Azaz and Greenwood who can't play vs Chelsea, which means we might want to start Forss in that game. doubt we will get more than an hour out of him though
It is, and it's about how to play in that role. I think for us we want the CF to do one of two things, run in behind against a high line, or drop deep and pull the CB into midfield to create the space for Rogers/Greenwood/Jones who ever to exploit.Hes a great finisher but not sure about his all round skills as a striker in a 1 striker set up like we play (and most modern teams)
Can't play with his back to goal and cannot compete physically in duels, i suppose in many ways we are using him in the same way we used Stuani, played off the right
and getting him into scoring areas that way
I know people just assume, goal scorer, good finisher etc, play him as a 9, i think it's a little more nuanced than that
We seldom play against teams with a high line apart from when we are defending leads and are playing on the counterIt is, and it's about how to play in that role. I don't see any reason why Forss can't do the latter, hasn't got the rapid pace to run in behind, but he's decent at timing his run and getting his body between man and ball.
