Marcus Forss

I've seen a few comments on here over the last couple of months that he might be leaving in the summer. Is there any basis for the rumours? Is it just speculation or something that has been mentioned officially?

He's had his injury troubles this season but I've always loved watching him play for us. Great finisher, decent pace, physical and works his socks off. I think it would be a real shame to see him go.

No idea, but he wasn't there for the lap of appreciation, so questions are bound to be asked.

I don't think his ability is in question but I'd seriously question the length of time he spends on the sidelines, his injuries need looking at as he's no use to us whatsoever with the amount of missed games.

Who else wasn't there? I wasn't really paying attention, but did see Hackney, Engel and McNair. What about Fry, Smith, Lenihan, Hoppe and McGree?

Good player would rather keep him. But look at how we have got on him without him, same for Dale Fry.

You need a squad though, there are games where Jones hasn't had an impact where we could have really used Forss as a plan B. If he could stay injury free he'd still be a big asset for us to have.

Promotion will not be achieved by losing players such as Forss. There should be no question of him leaving. He should enhance the present side. There are a couple more of the injured players in a similar position.
Boro will be looking for automatic promotion, with playoffs as a consolation prize.

We'd be a better squad if we can keep both Forss and Mcgree next season. I imagine they would both be hard to replace with 'as good' or better. They are both entering the final year of contracts so money won't be amazing.

That said I'm not sure both start. We've done alright without them. I think Jones is a far better outlet on the right. Just fits the way we play. Carrick simply doesn't see Forss as a CF. That's probably one of the reasons he may want out.

The injuries are in issue. He seems to have a habit of picking up frequent 'niggly' injuries that become longterm.

I'd like to keep him. He's still our best finisher (excuse the pun). That finish against Sunderland 👌

On both Forss and Mcgree, if they don't want to be here then let them go, yesterday showed there is a real togetherness and harmony within the squad and if these don't want to be a part of that for whatever reason then let them move on.

Both are good players on there day but also have questionable fitness records especially forss including his time at Brentford, hamstrings and thigh issues seem to be a real issue for him.

Again happy for them to stay but if moving them both on prevents other sales then so be it!
