Mark Travers

Just means Bonham will have a worldie doesn't it
Exactly what I was about to reply. Every time a 2nd choice keeper comes in against us they seem to have a worldie.

In fact all keepers seem to like playing against us. Can't think of many goalies over recent years that have had a shocker against us (maybe the Watford lad the other week). Saw a stat that 3 out of the top 5 goalie performances so far this season have come against us. Typical eh!!!

Stoke fan on the boro breakdown podcast preview said that Travers had made a big difference
Yeah decent keeper Travers. Bonham is largely a lower league keeper. Capable but nothing special and probably punishing above his standard in the champo.

Yes but Carrick has broken many a hoodoo. I mean the man has won away to Norwich twice in 12 months, we'd only won there twice in 47 years prior to that.

Is that true!! I remember a few years back in our last promotion season when Karanka broke our hoodoo at the City Ground. Never seemed to win there. When we won, in front of Sky cameres too, I knew we were on to something. Same feeling with Carrick

Norwich had their 2nd choice GK in on Tuesday and he was nothing special.. in fact I thought he was awful for Silvera's goal so hopefully that's the curse of the Wonder Goalie well and truly smashed.

Wouldn't be impressed if I was Stoke (or even Travers) there. It's one thing signing an emergency keeper on loan, but to recall one? It's not like they don't have a senior goalkeeper.

Norwich 1-2 Boro Oct 2023
Norwich 1-2 Boro Nov 2022
Norwich 0-1 Boro Apr 2015
Norwich 1-3 Boro Nov 1997
Norwich 0-1 Boro Nov 1975
Norwich 0-2 Boro Aug 1968
Norwich 1-2 Boro Apr 1966
Norwich 3-4 Boro Dec 1962

Total of 8 wins in 30 trips to Carrow Road, which is better than 6 wins in 28 before Carrick arrived.

Agree with the same feeling with Carrick, but oddly in a different way, I felt we were almost unfairly strong defensively under Karanka, felt like we would keep a clean sheet every match. It's the opposite with Carrick, feel like we will score a couple every game. Cue a 0-0

Millwall fans I've seen on Facebook absolutely slate the life out of Norwich's keeper from the other night.
As for Travers he's a good keeper, the stoke fan from Boro Breakdown was very complimentary about him.

Let's hope the second choice doesn't do an Eastwood on our arses 😂

That’s a huge loss for Stoke. Travers is up there with Dieng as one of the best at this level.

Stoke fans don't seem overly complimentary about his replacement. So it's going to be a miss for them.

Then again as above. Eastwood and his worldies against us. Also see Lumley for QPR😂
