Mathew Perry Dead

I never knew his links with Trudeau either as I saw his post and thought it was the classic Twitter post you get from leaders about a fellow citizen etc but no he grew up with him as his mother was Trudeau father’s press sec.

Very sad news.. I was a late teen/twenty something myself when Friends was in its pomp and as a show it definitely defined a generation with phrases from it still very much common place today.

Could I BE any sadder 😔💔

On a positive note what an incredible life he's experienced and what a lovely way to go.(not trying to be flippant)

I’m still quite gutted tbh. The Hollywood bubble isn’t healthy at all, especially if you have any form of addiction or mental illness. You can have all the money and fame in the world and feel so alone in there. I remember going to the cinema to see the whole nine yards and loved it

I’ve just listened to Britneys book and the stuff that happened to her was horrendous in that bubble.

I wasn’t a big fan of Friends but I read his book as it was about his struggle with addiction. He had a very troubled life despite the fame, and it sounded like he knew one day his body would just give up on him.

RIP.

It’s one of those deaths that although shocking could be predicted given the troubles he’s had over the years and never got over, George michael was another of a similar ilk. Nicholas Brendon who was massive at the same time as Matthew Perry in Buffy is similar, I guess Gazza could be considered the same.

He wrote in his autobiography that when he dies he expects people to be shocked, but not surprised.

I think that sums it up, he knew he wasn't going to live to an old age after everything he'd put his body through.

Why haven’t the friends group said anything? It’s a massive tragedy whats happened.

I’m sure the cast will be devastated, after all they performed together for over 10 years. Moreover I never heard a bad word said about any of them which is also quite remarkable. The LA news is saying that Aniston and the cast will be issuing a joint statement.

I did some cover work on the show he brought to London. He was a very nice fellah generally. Matt LeBlanc turned up in the dressing rooms on opening night, who also proved to be a nice chap. It was obvious they were good friends who held each other in high regard.

Sad sad news. I've spent a fair old chunk of my life laughing at him playing Chandler Bing.
Could I.....be..... more sad .
