Yes the Australian league is played during their summer to avoid clashing with the Aussie Rules season ,None of the Scottish based players playing in these tournaments seem to have left yet, that includes Australia and Senegal.
Are the Aussie players from OZ actually playing in their league at present?
Egypt play their first game in AFCON 14 Jan....Mo Salah played for Liverpool yesterday (01 Jan)
Japan play their first game in Asia Cup 14 Jan....Endo played for Liverpool yesterday (01 Jan)
Australia play their first game in Asia Cup 13 Jan....McGree and Silvera weren't in the squad for us yesterday (01 Jan)
So have we been shafted because of 1 day?
Got to agree. We said we would release them on a given date and we did. There are 12 UK-based players in the Australia squad. All of their clubs played on January 1st or 2nd and NONE of those 12 players were involved in those games in any capacity. None played, none were on the bench.
Australia named their squad and their FA gave the date they were meeting up. That’s all there is to it. They have every right to call them up and have them arrive on the agreed date.
Endo and Salah were playing for Liverpool so that means their respective squads meet up slightly later. Maybe the Japanese FA decided to meet on the 2nd or 3rd or 4th. Same with Egypt.
This idea that it’s only Boro either being screwed or ‘rolling over’ is just complete nonsense.
Like when he tries to catch a ballPalms will have been lubricated you'd think
Nonsense, only fair to give Wigan a fair chance,Onana may play for Man U on Monday https://www.bbc.com/sport/articles/cl4ezy44nrmo

Mad that
Man United have kept Onana till literally the day before their first match.
It's Man Utd, they will have that kind of leverage
