McGree/Ramsey/Forss conundrum

For me the logic of leaving Crooks on is that players are often on a high after scoring and can score in bursts, plus they would be wobbling after losing a two goal lead, therefore it was worth giving him a little bit extra.

Though, looking just under Carrick, McGree is 4 goals and 3 assists in 25. Forss (9 goals, 4 assists in 24).

What I like about McGree is that he changes the pace and direction of play very effectively. Ramsey carries the ball better but I think tends to spend a little too much time with it. I think Ramsey is the better player but that, arguably, the team plays better with McGree in it.

McGree doesn’t make things happen.
Ramsey, Forss, Akpom and Archer do.

I'm not saying McGree is no good, or that I don't rate him at all.
I'd be delighted to have him as a bench option.
The thread is about relative rating, not absolute.

He has lowest combined goals and assists per match, his shot conversion is very low and his shot accuracy is lower than the other forward players.

It's all about opinions Diego and it is fine to disagree.

Was the way you worded the first post but yes it’s fine to disagree, in my view they are 3 fabulous players ( McGree, Ramsey and Forss) who all play a huge part. Lucky to have them all.

Is goals and assists the only thing you are looking for in this role? It's difficult to judge as we don't have statistics on other things such as throughballs to allow another player to make an assist, or space created for forward players per wide player etc.

Exactly and this is what McGree offers. He links fantastically with Giles and on the back of that we win football matches. And that is what counts.
 
Mcgree makes us tick .
Akpom is top draw , Archer and Forss are my choices , with Ramsay off the bench .

That’s the best 4 for me too. And what I would pick if we got to the play offs.

But for next game I would keep Ramsey in if we can cos he did get a goal and an assist and will have a point to prove to Norwich too
