McGree is not nearly as big a goal threat. 6 goals and 3 assists in 42.
Ramsey has 4 goals and an assist in 9.
Forss has 10+4 in 38.
McGree just does not have near as much end product for those roles. His goal conversion is very low and his shot accuracy is also much lower than Forss and Archer. He has by far the lowest shot accuracy and goal conversion of all our forward players inc Watmore.
He is also far too lightweight for CM.
He's good to have as cover, or a bench option, but he doesn't do enough with his freer role to start for me.
McGree doesn’t make things happen.Though, looking just under Carrick, McGree is 4 goals and 3 assists in 25. Forss (9 goals, 4 assists in 24).
What I like about McGree is that he changes the pace and direction of play very effectively. Ramsey carries the ball better but I think tends to spend a little too much time with it. I think Ramsey is the better player but that, arguably, the team plays better with McGree in it.
That’s very harsh indeedido on McGree. He’s produced some big moments for us this season showing he can make things happen. Also seem to get results more often than not with him in the team.McGree doesn’t make things happen.
Ramsey, Forss, Akpom and Archer do.
I'm not saying McGree is no good, or that I don't rate him at all. That’s very harsh indeedido on McGree. He’s produced some big moments for us this season showing he can make things happen. Also seem to get results more often than not with him in the team.
Was the way you worded the first post but yes it’s fine to disagree, in my view they are 3 fabulous players ( McGree, Ramsey and Forss) who all play a huge part. Lucky to have them all.I'm not saying McGree is no good, or that I don't rate him at all.
I'd be delighted to have him as a bench option.
The thread is about relative rating, not absolute.
He has lowest combined goals and assists per match, his shot conversion is very low and his shot accuracy is lower than the other forward players.
It's all about opinions Diego and it is fine to disagree.
Is goals and assists the only thing you are looking for in this role? It's difficult to judge as we don't have statistics on other things such as throughballs to allow another player to make an assist, or space created for forward players per wide player etc.McGree is not nearly as big a goal threat. 6 goals and 3 assists in 42.

Exactly and this is what McGree offers. He links fantastically with Giles and on the back of that we win football matches. And that is what counts. Is goals and assists the only thing you are looking for in this role? That’s the best 4 for me too. And what I would pick if we got to the play offs.Mcgree makes us tick .
Akpom is top draw , Archer and Forss are my choices , with Ramsay off the bench .
---------------Forss ---Akpom ---Mcgree
-------------------------Archer
