McNair as Captain.

You'd think a (ex)midfielder would be more confident controlling the ball, looking up and playing a pass but not Paddy.

Who else do you give it to yesterday?

Smith, Lenihan, Fry, Howson and Hackney were all missing with injury.

Was McNair captain at Leicester?

We have no leaders, if quiet as a mouse Howson is your captain and Dael Fry is backup then you’re in a **** poor position when the chips are down
Agree with this and have mentioned it a fair few times over the last few years.
Howson has been a good player for us but I’ve never seen him as captain material.
To spark life into a struggling team is a unique skill in itself. Maintaining standards on the pitch and ensuring heads don’t drop - not all player can do it, regardless of their experience and longevity.
We need leaders in the next crop of players that come in if we want to have a go next season.

We do seem to miss a bit of leadership in the dressing room and on the pitch.

We don’t seem to have an answer when the big boys from limited teams like Rotherham etc get stuck into us.

We need some players like Grant, Clayton, Ayala etc who knew how and when to use the dark arts and had a bit of character.
