McNair in midfield

We're in trouble in the middle of the park -- all the above plus Morsey doesn't figure in Warnock's plans so you'd have to think we need more than just a left back and a striker.

I think central midfield is where the squad is very short and will probably prove our downfall this season unless rectified. We desperately need Tav in there alongside Morsy but if either gets injured we are left very vulnerable. Could be worth considering moving on Paddy if we can get good money for him and replacing him with a proper CM.

I agree with mart in that he's good at running up and down in straight lines. When it comes to agility he's left wanting.

Surely we'll see a midfield of Morsy, Payero and Tav? Or have Tav on the right and crooks in the middle.

I'm not convinced by Hall tbh, he isn't a dominant CB & doesn't seem to be very vocal in organising the defence around him.
And then he thought he was going to pick out a chipped through ball in the last 5 minutes.

I think we still need a CB, CM & a CF.

I think Paddy is missing at CB really, just showed tonight in my opinion. Think Fry needs to be playing alongside him as he had a total shocker, and he's usually better than that.

The warning signs about the porous midfield pair were there on Sunday. I suppose there weren’t too many options open to us tonight which needs sorting.

In hindsight three at the back should've been the choice tonight given the numbers QPR throw forward when attacking, even with 10 men, they had runners scaring the daylight out of Hall and Fry.

I’d pair Morsy and Crooks in the middle. McNair was nowhere and I don’t think Howson possesses a footballing brain.
I think an earlier poster summed it up with the word porous.
anyway, too long in the tooth to sulk for a fortnight as I would’ve once over.

Mcnair and howson havent got the legs to play in the centre as a pairing neither have the pace or discipline required to do the defensive dutys and keep up with a mobile opposition. That was such a un warnock display we were wide open so many times it was like a garry monk team.

What confused me most about the performance was the second half. What happened? We came out in the second half and rather playing like we did in the first half by letting them have possession and being compact we decided to be so wide open. When they equalised and went down to 10 men, slow the game down, dominate possession and be patient. Nope, lets be completely disorganised!

Agreed with most of what everyone says. Totally outplayed in midfield 2nd. We seemed in control first half. Morsy isn't the answer too slow and not a good enough athlete. Defense didn't help hall too slow and static. Djiksteel too flat footed and wanting too many touches.
