Well Christmas Eve is upon us and no doubt many of less organised amongst us (myself included) are running around in a panic wondering whether there'll be enough hours in the day to get everything prepped.

Others will be having a gentler day and enjoying the calm before the big day tomorrow.

I just wanted to wish each and every one of you and your families and loved ones a fantastic Christmas and hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Keep an eye on family members, friends and neighbours who may be struggling or alone and if we can, try and do our little bit to help others. Its going to be a a very difficult Christmas for many and sometimes popping in to see someone for a coffee or a telephone call and just a little bit of our time can make all the difference.

Merry Christmas to you all and be good because Santa is still watching 🎅
 
I'm intrigued by a festive Parmo @Randy what's on top, pigs in blankets? Cranberry? Paxo? @Nobby_Barnes wearing a full santa suit?

Chicken, pork or butternut squash parmo. Original bechamel sauce recipe from one of the group of folks who invented the parmo spread on top. Hand grated cheese piled on followed by pigs in blankets, home made sausage meat stuffing and cranberry drizzle (not sauce, DRIZZLE!). It's been flying out of the kitchen doors, really popular.

I was up early this morning, nipped to the cemetery to put flowers on my mum's grave, cleaned the fire out and brought the wood inside for the next two days and the fridge is full of Wainwrights.

The wife's got a ham on the go, the veg is all cut for tomorrow and she is now preparing the nibbles for tonight. I will go back out and see that my dad's ok and then will settle for the day.

I would like to echo what weegord said above and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Eat and be merry one and all.

I’ll be at the match on Boxing Day.

Won’t be looking on here for a few days. The trolls are well and truly back and every time I’ve looked over the past ten days it’s been a bit toxic.
