MFC Site declining Credit Card for Season Card Payment

I know people have had problems paying for Tickets with various Debit Card/Credit cards recently, but I managed to pay for my Chelsea Tickets no problem With my credit card after my debit card was refused.
However, I have now tried to renew my Season Card and I have followed peoples advice and ticked the box asking for Card Details to be kept for future transactions, yet my Credit Card has now been declined on SIX different attempts.
I now have no other way of paying for my Season Card ! I can imagine the scenario in the next few weeks with thousands of Supporters having similar problems in renewing.
What are we supposed to do? Its about time MFC sorted this problem out as it’s been ongoing for a while now.
nb. I have just noticed on the MFC web site that it states that if people have such a problem to phone the Ticket Office. I have tried this and it’s only open until 3.00pm Mon-Fri (which is no use if you are at work) and I was in a queue of 66 people, so would have been on the phone ages and long past the 3.00pm deadline.
Anybody any ideas of a solution?

Strangely enough my credit card worked for our renewals, despite failing for the last few away games.
Just give MFC a call next week, plenty of time.
 
I had the same experience with booking.com. I tried four cards, including both debit cards and credit cards, with no success. I called up and they processed it immediately. If booking.com are having issues then it seems a more widespread issue, and not purely Boro that are struggling.

It's apparently new 2FA stuff that has been brought in. I use the word 'stuff' because that reflects my level of understanding of the issue!!
 
Ditto for me. Applied for finance and everything went through fine. Then received an email from the finance company to say that the application has been cancelled. Rang the finance company to be told that it's a problem with MFC and to ring them. Needless to say I can't get through.
What an absolute shambles.
Never mind having to ring the ticket office and being 85 in the queue. I'm at the point of just saying sod it after so much hassle trying to get cup tickets and my card been constantly refused. Why oh why can't the club get this sorted?
 
I just rang and was 92 in the queue - just bought my Peterboro ticket online no issues .

Mine got declined 6 times then kept saying "fraud suspicion"

Instead I added the card under "credit cards" first then went back through the renewal process and instead of typing in the card details select it from the drop down menu now its added.

It processed and came back "fraud" then Refreshed and it has accepted it, showing the 2 season cards on my account now and mfc receipt in my email👍
 
In block 35 family zone, have been since ground opened.
Now can't renew my season ticket without buying a U18 ticket.
This happened for both Spurs and Chelsea game
Emailed supporters services informing them of the situation saying they needed to get this sorted.
Still holding my breath......... starting to go purple!

Same happened to me!
 
I have just renewed my pair and it took no more than 60 seconds form start to finish. And I was prepared to be furious about how crap the system was, and it just wasnt.

probably gt the notification from my bank about 5 mins after I got confirmation from the club that the transaction had gone through, but no need for secondary authentication etc.

Same here Billy, the initial application was a breeze. Got an email 5 minutes later to say the application had been cancelled 🤨
 
If you are renewing season cards I would wait until after the weekend. Then you will be able to complete transactions over the phone if the credit card rejects. (Banks are now rejecting a higher percentage following Monday's deadline).
Next week there will be enough staff to answer phones and operate and field questions at the ticket office.
I know now that the online ticketing company are working on the fix to this and once tested it should hopefully be up and running well before semi final tickets go on sale (see what I did there?)

Thanks for that - I had my card declined multiple times, and followed your tip and it worked on the second go around!

That was after being on hold for 1h30m and then just getting cut off from the ticket office. They really need to get this sorted.
 
May be useful for us all going forward if those who are successful state which Bank card they used? Then if we get to a high demand situation again like Chelsea we may have a chance of not scrambling around for all cards in the family.
