Im also from an Irish catholic family but I just worry it’s Nicola sturgeon on steroids.Coming from a Boro Catholic background and having a sense of right and wrong it cannot come soon enough. The DUP are horrible.
That will not end wellFed up with it.
The sooner it's unified the better.
WowComing from a Boro Catholic background and having a sense of right and wrong it cannot come soon enough. The DUP are horrible.
Harsh but true. The Unionists have been terrible and buggered up so much in recent years.
How do you feel NI Red about this shift in the power dynamic and how it could unfold hereafter.
That’s why I’m asking your opinion then the op is just my opinion I’m not professing to be an expert but talking in Irish as you take the first minister seat I think is a bold statement. Not very unifying is it.I feel that some people think they know everything about NI and actually know very little.
I'm not getting at you, Jedi. That’s why I’m asking your opinion then the op is just my opinion I’m not professing to be an expert but talking in Irish as you take the first minister seat I think is a bold statement. Not very unifying is it.
Not sure what's wrong with calling for a democratic vote. And I respect your right to express your opinion, @NI_Red, but living there doesn't mean you have a monopoly of knowledge or even experience about Ireland and its history.I feel that some people think they know everything about NI and actually know very little.
And nobody said I did.Not sure what's wrong with calling for a democratic vote. And I respect your right to express your opinion, @NI_Red, but living there doesn't mean you have a monopoly of knowledge or even experience about Ireland and its history.
But what do you call it on though this “democratic” referendum do you just ask the north or do you ask the whole of Ireland ( which she’ll push for) because then that’s a completely different situation. Not sure what's wrong with calling for a democratic vote.
At some point your question won't matter because there will be a nationalist majority in the north itself. Then what will the excuse be?But what do you call it on though this “democratic” referendum do you just ask the north or do you ask the whole of Ireland ( which she’ll push for) because then that’s a completely different situation.
That’s quite a confrontational view to take. Then what will the excuse be?
There already is, John. Perhaps you do need to do some research after all.At some point your question won't matter because there will be a nationalist majority in the north itself. Then what will the excuse be?
