Had to laugh at the bit in Bob Mortimer’s autobiography when he says he once took Jim/Vic to watch Middlesbrough in the League Cup Final at Wembley and Vic gave an interview afterwards thinking that Middlesbrough had won 3-0. And Bob had to point out it actually finished 1-1.

If only eh ?

Finished the book today. Decent read.
 
So I tried to post something semi football related last night and about another Boro fan who we all love, but it just got ignored

Seems the message board is obsessed with arguing the toss about Brexit and its incessant Tory Party bashing. Dunno why I bothered.

Sorry didn’t see this I try to keep it football as well. I didn’t know that about vic

First post was just me posting something that made me laugh in Bob’s book.
Second post was more a point about the content of the board today.
I come on here for a bit of interaction.
I seriously have no idea why I bother. I’ve just read nothing but vitriol on here today and have nothing in common with anyone except the football team i support.
 
I keep posting snippets of this to my children as a hint for Christmas, but it just seems to pass them by.

Would love to get it.
 
I finished the book recently and loved it. I got the audio book and it's great just to listen to Bob tell his story. I'm going to get the Gone Fishing book next.

It's on my Christmas list AET. Hope I get it 🤞
 
I’ve got a couple of books to get through then I’ll get onto this, looking forward to it from the snippets I’ve read on here.

Don’t take a lack of early replies personally Aet, some great threads are slow burners and it’s about quality not quantity 👍🏻

Aye, this. Plus 90% of posts on some of the longer threads are just people arguing back and forth with small town about name calling anyway!

I've had plenty of threads sink without a trace over the years.
 
I am coming to the end of The Farther Corner and need a new book for my bedside reading when I can’t sleep. Will put this top of my list!
