Middlesbrough to London train starts today

The Highwayman was, I think, the only Inter-City service to have no first class seats. I hope this does better. If your destination/starting point is Redcar - Saltburn you've got the option of changing at York, which sounds better.

I don't understand how you can get to London quicker by getting the TPX to Northallerton then changing.

The prices are okay at the moment, but that won't last.

Mate has just booked return journey going today for £40 thats with a rail card so he got a third off. He had to go a short notice so only booked on Friday. Same journey going regular route again with a railcard was over £100 so he was well happy.

Just for curiosity, I looked at the prices yesterday for going on the 7:20 am today. The price with Trainline was £450 one way.
EEK. I used to get the warrington to london service regularly and even on the morning it was less than 150 pound. That was 15 years ago mind.

The prices will merge with the rest of the service eventually. Their pricing is all over the place. As it stands you can travel on the same train from Boro to London but pay more if you get on at York.

It's £81.00 tomorrow if you get on at York.
