I see that complete fckwit Icke was out telling everyone Covid is fake and just a measure to get Bill Gates a New World Order. Yeah, okay Son of God, whatever.

Jeremy Corbyn’s brother was also there and nicked - again - and this time he has been given a £10,000 fine which he says he won’t pay. So what sanctions will be imposed against him? I’ll bet the house it will be absolutely nothing.

You might not be old enough, or have been in the right place, to remember the over-privileged @rseholes that used to sell Socialist Worker outside of student unions in the 80's and support causes like the miners without ever having met one.

Whenever you see the SWP front organisation Stand Up to Racism placards at any event either front them up for being the rape apologist b***ds they are or walk away from the event

Is it reasonable for this site to allow videos from proto facist organisations like Turning Point to stay up. Of course they use fresh faced muppets like Grimes & Harwood to appear as the spokespeople but as a Brietbart/Seb Gorka inspired organisation its pretty obvious where its coming from.
 
There is more of a Me, Me, Me culture - To many little emperors and empresses have aged a bit and expect to be the centre of attention. There are also more and more people in bubbles.

I include myself to some extent.

Ref Middle class people selling Socialist Worker - wasn't journalist Rod Liddle one 35 years ago.

I remember marching through the streets of Middlesbrough demanding an end to State Education cuts - I agreed with the demands and still do, but it was also a bit empowering when you are 18.

hateful of what though, being hateful of violent ideology is different to say hating black people. There are people arguing that hating anything is wrong. I'm happy to say I'm hateful of racism, hateful of extreme ideoligsts that cause destruction and divide.. Does that make me hateful? Some people would like to paint it that way because then they're saying I'm as bad as them.
 
There's a lot of truth in what you say Red, social media has given voices to people you'd rightly run a mile from if you saw them in the pub.

I have tried to step out of my socialist bubble simply because I find the likes of CNN. MSNBC & BBC do not represent my views, they're all totally disingenuous and manipulative. I find it interesting to watch 30 minutes of BBC news followed by 30 minutes of Sky news every night then do the same with CNN & Fox first thing in the morning. More people should do the same.

I have to admit being at the poll-tax protests (riots) back in the late 80s, mainly to see Tony Benn, same old "Socialist Worker" cliques causing the same old trouble, and it's the same old thing now.

I do that, but luckily they stopped showing Fox on sky, because it was without doubt absolute propoganda barely based on fact. Now yes CNN can sometimes be like that, Anderson Cooper sometimes goes OTT, but it is generally grounded in reality unlike Fox

The problem with being hateful of anything is that by default you lose your objectivity.

I support the ideology of BLM, and the 95% peaceful protestors. I'm not gonna let a few opportunists and idiots change that. I support moderate socialism, but also moderate capitalism.

I don't support anti-BLM, white supremicist. I don't support communism but then I don't see anyone trying to implement it, and I don't support the unadulterated capitalism and libertarianism that we are steadily moving towards. They are as extreme as extreme and repugnant as communism.

... you have to be prepared to stomach Tucker Carlson to see stuff like this though.

I've been through a 50 year analysis of racism. There's nothing new here to require objectivity. It's repugnant and practices by morons FULL STOP. So I'm happy to say I hate racism. If you want me to give a racist a hug and say I understand and respect your point of view, then it isn't going to happen.

You're missing the point, by hating racism you're losing your objectivity to identify it... everything can appear racist when you're consumed by hate for it.

Nope, I don't see it. There are unknowns leading up to this scenario, but what we do know is the cops shot a man in the back 7 times. There was no justification for what they did, none at all. Of course the build up to it has to be investigated. The idea that Fox/Carlson are calling them out for accidentally reporting is ludicrously hypocritical. I've watched a lot of both channels over the years, and CNN is infinitely more factual, but far from perfect.
