My message to Steve Gibson.

You know Steve, had a genie appeared before me and my dad in the mid eighties and he told us that he could gift us the man to not only
save our club, but that me and my dad would be walking down Wembley way together amongst a sea of red and white and that we would
win a major trophy and have a team full of internationals playing for us, playing in Europe, but, for one condition.

That condition is that we would have to kiss that mans nuts for it to come to fruition.

I know for certain that my dad would've piped up with " my son and I will go one better than that, we'll kiss his nuts morning, noon and night
every day for the rest of our lives if he can deliver that "
I also know that even though I would be giving my dad a hard long scowling glance, I would find my head uncontrollably nodding in agreement.

If you are reading this Steve, my father has long since passed and they were his words and vow and not mine. However, if you were to only deliver
a team that simply plays attacking football, a team that others fear, a team that plays for the shirt with pride and wears their heart on their sleeve
like all us Boro fans do, then I will happily carry out my fathers vow.

I don't know about you Steve ? but for me, nothing would give me greater satisfaction to see a line of people who recently wanted me out, are
now lining up and about to go down on all fours, closing their eyes and pouting their lips in order to kiss me on my sack.

C'mon Steve, you know it sounds great, what further motivation does one need.?

As my grandad said "I've seen them go all the way down, and all the way back up..... twice in my lifetime"

and my grandma use to say "Boro..... They'll always let you down..."

Haha, she was 87 when she died, so she had experience of it all

I'm sure Steve will file your message exactly where it belongs.

I think he wants Gibson to be the man he once was.
Nice thought, but not going to happen.
You're right indeedio, i do.

I can't bring myself to dislike him as i feel indebted to him as he is the man that brought enormous joy to my dad and myself.

I would call my dad from Oz weekly and to hear the joy in his voice talking about Jimmy, Viduka and his idol Juninho etc
was a great relief to me. To return to England and take him to Wembley was a dream come true for the pair of us.

He would have sold his soul to the devil for a saviour to come along during those dark days and so would I.
He got much more than that though and saw his beloved Boro lift a major trophy and play in Europe before he died.

We forget too easily what Gibbo did for the Boro and the town and it's peoples.
Most people here in Oz hadn't even heard of the Boro but Gibson changed all that with our promotion to the big time
and the cup finals.
Even this wonderful forum where all us Boro fans from around the globe can have a chat and banter with one another would
probably not exist had it not been for the saving of our club and that's all down to him and I idolise him for it.

I'm sure that Gibbo is hurting as much as all of us at our plight at this moment in time and would love it if he were at the helm
if we were to have some more success.
If not, he has already brought me and my dad much happiness and I too will go to my grave like my dad, a very happy man.
