Giving the opposition gifts far too often. Another game we shouldn't have lost.
it's not really the same we are still concede goals fair enough as last year but we certainly had better strikers last seasonIt's not something new. It was the same last season with a lot of it down to our set up from the off.
A team without bite gives the opposition the confidence to play higher and leave gaps which they know we'll struggle to exploit before they get back and regroup. That increases game time in our half and exposes our defence to more pressure and you know they'll crack eventually.
Opposition teams will be happy to cede possession to us in the centre of midfield as we move it out wide slowly, lose possession and then they can move it down the wing just as our team have ambled forwards, put it back in the centre and run at our centre backs to get a shot off just as they get into the box.
Fannyish , is how it is .Agree all over this.
Easy to blame the defenders ( who also are a bit fannyish / standing off when pressing edge of the box )
But , the flat footedness / like of bite in front of them is a bigger issue IMHO.
It's clearly bothGiving the opposition gifts far too often. Another game we shouldn't have lost.
