NEIL WARNOCK

You're cherry picking successes there though aren't you.

The fact of the matter is getting one of these managers and it working is rare and they often get found out after a while anyway.

I'm sure if there was a manager we thought was a great fit and was available we'd be assessing the option.

If you're going to say "oh there's loads of better options" then at least name some?

I would prefer a different manager over Warnock but getting rid of him to bring in someone who isn't quite what we actually want because we haven't fully identified what we want or don't believe the market is right to get what we want in a manager, would be a step backwards not forwards and would be yet more upheaval.
The point is that some of the most successful managers at this level over the last 2 or 3 seasons none of us had heard of or if we had heard of them we never would have expected them to get the job they got, Scott Parker for example. You don’t need to name Warnock’s replacement for it then to be a good idea to get rid, as the above post said, that’s Scott’s job and I’m sure he knows what he’s looking for since he has experience with Farke.

I’m not saying that we have to go for an unknown but that there are loads of managers out there that the club or Scott will be aware of that none of us have a clue about. All that matters is that Warnock is doing a poor job and he needs to go.

Here’s one for you, how about Ole Werner? Heard of him? No me neither but did a superb job in the 2nd division in Germany, currently out of a job, he averaged 1.81 points per game in that league with a small team and they scored 132 goals in 65 games. He’s only 33 years old too, so will have plenty of fresh ideas and clearly has an attacking mindset.

I have no idea if he would come here, if he would do a good job but these are the type of managers Scott will be well aware of and will do his research on.

Seems like good suggestion on the face of it. I'd be all for such an appointment if it seemed well planned out 👍

My point has only ever been that people are awfully keen to want rid of him but seemingly without considering we may not have a better option lined up or available right now.

That will be for Scott to decide, not Zorro or Chappy.

I just don't understand the fascination with keeping him or worrying about who will replace him.

As has been said, in Mowbrays last year from Jan to Oct we had won about ten games and were conceding freely and looked lost. Karanka came in and transformed us defensively almost overnight with the same players.

Everyone was saying the same things in defence of Mowbray then as they are about Warnock now, but he was a club legend who wasn't set to retire in seven months.

I just don't get it.
The risk of rushing and getting the wrong man is a potentially disastrous one. Let's let Kieran Scott get his head around the club first ey.

I like his name

I mean they are the worst team in the league by a mile
Ah, fair point then! They were awful, but ran for each other and looked a team.

On chances alone we should have won for sure, but the fact remains that it was a disjointed, stuttering and generally porr performance by us.
