Nelson Piquet up to his old tricks

And guess who Nelson Piquet's daughter is married to.
This post kind of contradicts your last post.

Racism is abhorrent in all forms piquet is a nasty piece of work as other have said.

This has nothing to do with max at all.

And they are not married either.

How can post no.1 contradict post no.2? It would be the other way around surely.
It may not have anything to do with Verstappen but it has everything to do with the Piquet family including Kelly.

Sorry just seen your other post and her liking it. That’s shocking

As I say piquet is a nasty piece of work.

But no need to link max in it.
There really is in this case. It's the company he keeps. The redbull have told their drivers not to comment. What does that tell you? They'd rather defend Max than condemn racism. That's fairly shocking.

Also interesting to see the absolute silence from most of F1. Natalie Pinkham getting pelters by saying "all corners of f1 are condemning racism"

Oh really? Only 2 drivers (Leclerc and Ricciardo) spoke out on social media. 2 more (Ocon and Norris) liked a Hamilton Post.

With red bull affiliated drivers making up a quarter of the grid, this is far from "all corners"

Two drivers have openly racist fan bases so they won't speak out but everyone else should at least address this in my opinion.

Like it or not the link to Max is there and he should, as the guy with number one on his car, be making a clear statement about racism and this instance in particular. He doesn't have to but I think he should.

I agree it would be good if he did but I can see why he wouldn't, he may choose to speak to his father in law privately about it. Some of the stuff I've read about him over the last 24 hours is very unfair, you'd think he was a nazi.

As "World Champion" he has a responsibility to the sport. Yes, he can stay schtum and ride it out but it doesn't reflect well on him or on whatever his privately held views are. And from watching him interact with Lewis I have no reason at all to believe that he is any way racist. But he's no longer just an F1 driver he is "World Champion".

(Oh and he is not married either)

Perhaps he chose to speak with Lewis directly and privately instead of doing it publicly.

Perhaps, that's not the point, as World Champion he has a responsibility to the sport to be visible on issues like this. I don't think it's him I think it is the RB team management (but that's probably my dislike for the smug tawt Christian Horner rather than any evidential based theory)

Regardless, the longer he waits, the more it will seem that he had to be pressured to do the right thing and the worse it will look.

Father in law

Suggested you did.
Sorry i can see how it looked like an implication but if you read it again I was talking about my father in law and linking it to the fact his girlfriend is Kelly Piquet. I don't think such a pedantic and minor point should by used as some form of defence of someone not condemning racism though

His silence is very loud
