New Season Tickets on sale for 2024/25

Surely our make up of season ticket holders would be the same as other clubs, or are we saying that as a % we have more season ticket holders classed as concessions than other clubs?

Yes - That is what has be reported on here by Rob Nichols who was given the information by MFC.

For example - All our ground now has concessions for 18-21 year olds. Carers of fans attending with disabilities get in free. My gut feeling is that we have a relatively high percentage of over 65s, many are posters on here. Ref concessions - It will not be dramatically different from other clubs but is higher. MFC have said £12.50 is the net ticket price they receive after VAT per fan (all types) attending a Championship game.
I must have missed that, quite interesting and I wonder why that is (higher over 65s in particular).

I don’t think there would be many complaints if we were top six and had signed a forward in January. People don’t seem to understand how the business side of football works - in fact most appear clueless on it actually.

People always say that and bring up how much Gibson puts into the club. Don't get me wrong - I'm grateful for the money he does put in. But it's his decisions at times which have caused us to lose as much money as we do. He picks the managers. He appoints staff in other roles. And some of his choices of employees is what causes us to lose as much as we do. So many poor management choices in recent times. I get that nothing is guaranteed in sport but he's made some shocking decisions in recent years which have set the club back financially significantly all through his picks of managers.

It's OK saying we need x to compete. But we only need as much as we do as we make bad choices. Other clubs manage promotion pushes usually on a lower budget than we do.

It's worth noting that in regards to finance, Gibson looks after the football side of things ie Wages, transfers, agent fees. Non directly related football costs such as overheads, ground maintenance etc. are paid for by ticketing, commercial etc.

Maybe but that doesn’t explain the punitive deadline and frankly insulting joke of an email.

But we're not, and we didn't, so that's a stupid argument.

Instead we sold two big players for us, replaced neither, have no fit strikers, are drifting away to a mid-table finish and the club has demanded fans pay more and pay it within a month or be forced to pay an even more extortionate price.
Without even the fig leaf of a justification for the increase in costs, they don't even mention they've went up significantly, there's no attempt at building interest or expectation for next season, no courtesy towards the fans for their support.

Just a price list and a deadline.

As i said earlier, be patient, the club has a plan and we will be strengthening significantly in the summer - we’ve seen panic buys in January before like Gestede and Guiediora that were disastrous for the club and i for one am glad we’re not going down that road again

If you understand business then you will know this phrase…

“Supply and demand”.

“As the price increases, supply rises while demand declines. Conversely, as the price drops supply constricts while demand grows”. (y)

that argument could work the other way as well. The club don't understand how peoples finances have been impacted over the last few years.

That’s patronising drivel Merlin.
Edit: sorry Lessof, you beat me to it. I only worked in the City in FI’s for 30 years, so I’m clueless too

You’ll be telling us next that you have a round table in your boardroom Merlin 😉

Football is unlike most other businesses, particularly where transfers are involved

And did you handle multi million pound transfers of football players and dealt with their agents ? - it’s all well and good having a go at Gibson but none of us have a clue what it’s like to run something like a football club
