Detrimental or instrumental? They tend to get 1 "big" name in each series. Frank Skinner in series 1 was detrimental to Greg Davies being the taskmaster as he said if you get Frank I'll do it.

Alex and Greg did one of the US nightly shows to promote the show and they actually talked about having a mix of well known and less well known comedians, as well as them wanting the group to do multiple shows rather than just a one off appearance, but the line up this season are all pretty well established.I think thats my point i love the show and i believe its series 17 but when you go back to the earlier shows the contestants are more household names
It must be hard to get people to do the show now as its a whos who who's been on the show
Dont get me wrong some of the not so household names have been really good on it such as bridget Christie
Sam campbell is on at the stand in newcastle, had it not been for TM i wouldnt have a clue who he was
Its funny when contestants argue with gregg or try and cheat a task, alex always catches them out!
Was good but the Bob Mortimer series with Mark Watson et al was genius from start to finish. - Rosalinds a Nightmare mike drop moment.Hard to pick a favourite season but gun to my head, I think the one with James Acaster, Phil Wang and Rhod Gilbert is unbelievably good. I go back to that one again and again.
The one with Rose Matafeo and David Baddiel was good too.Was good but the Bob Mortimer series with Mark Watson et al was genius from start to finish. - Rosalinds a Nightmare mike drop moment.
Probably both.Detrimental or instrumental?
I think it's extremely hard to pick a "best" series. All have been great and all have progressed a little from previous which is to be expected from any multiple series show. The one with Rose Matafeo and David Baddiel was good too.
Never miss it myself. Best thing on tv.I think it’s used quite well to push some of the less known names on the comedy circuit into the spotlight and it does it well…
It’s one of those programmes though that I keep forgetting to watch, I love it but if I miss it I rarely watch on catch up. I can watch re runs if there’s nothing else on and I don’t need to watch them in order…
I wish I could commit to a full series though…
Has anyone bout the “board game” and attempted to play it with family? My daughter did and it was a big mistake, you really find out how “fun” your family are when they’re faced with out the box thinking
Getting older and mixing words up with opposite meanings is detrimental to my healthDetrimental or instrumental?
