New Taskmaster

Was just yanking your chain, but tbh, I didn’t really think she’d had any work done. I’ve always liked sue and she doesn’t really look any different other than an ageing..
She’s never come across as someone who would have vanity about her appearance 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just looked her up and seen she suffers from a begnin tumour in her pituitary gland that affects her body.. this could be a cause of her looks or a reason for her surgery if she’s had some 🤷🏼‍♂️

Is it just me but apart from the guy out of Benidorm who are the others?

John Robins had a quiz show on Dave if memory serves me right

Nick Muhammad has been in Ted Lasso and some show with David Schwimmer (neither I've watched) I just know him as the high pitched voice bloke on 8 out 10 cats does countdown. The northern lass....I know her but can't remember where from

John Robins has been around a long time on the comedy circuit and has has a long running radio show i think initially on radio x now on bbc (5 live?)

If you know Steve Pemberton as the guy out of Benidorm, I can see why you wouldn’t recognise the others. Nick Mohammed is fairly well known from Ted Lasso but the rest aren’t as mainstream as some previous lineups. It’s a good mix though, which the show does very well.

Yes, he and Elis James do a podcast-only show on BBC now which used to be live show on 5 Live and Radio X before that. He did a short run of a quiz show called Beat the Internet on Dave a while back. I'm sure he's also good pals with Alex Horne and does a YouTube channel about golf with him.

Such an entertaining show. It’s amazing how it’s still so fresh after so long and they still keep finding incredibly entertaining people to go on there, I guess the format is just perfect.

I think it’s genius how it’s 10 episodes to a season with the same cast. It would still work as one off shows with rotating guests but wouldn’t be nearly as good. One of the funniest parts is getting to know the contestants’ quirks and seeing how they gradually go insane after about 4 episodes 😂 The mix of personalities in each season is perfect, it’s so well cast without having a totally rigid formula (apart from the formula of the show itself, which is totally rigid).

Hard to pick a favourite season but gun to my head, I think the one with James Acaster, Phil Wang and Rhod Gilbert is unbelievably good. I go back to that one again and again.

I think thats my point i love the show and i believe its series 17 but when you go back to the earlier shows the contestants are more household names

It must be hard to get people to do the show now as its a whos who who's been on the show

Dont get me wrong some of the not so household names have been really good on it such as bridget Christie

Sam campbell is on at the stand in newcastle, had it not been for TM i wouldnt have a clue who he was

Its funny when contestants argue with gregg or try and cheat a task, alex always catches them out!

They tend to get 1 "big" name in each series. Frank Skinner in series 1 was detrimental to Greg Davies being the taskmaster as he said if you get Frank I'll do it.

I think it’s used quite well to push some of the less known names on the comedy circuit into the spotlight and it does it well…
It’s one of those programmes though that I keep forgetting to watch, I love it but if I miss it I rarely watch on catch up. I can watch re runs if there’s nothing else on and I don’t need to watch them in order…
I wish I could commit to a full series though…

Has anyone bout the “board game” and attempted to play it with family? My daughter did and it was a big mistake, you really find out how “fun” your family are when they’re faced with out the box thinking 🤪🤦🏼‍♂️
