Next season’s squad.

I’d agree, if he’s available at a good price it’s a no brainer. We lost the beginning of the last two seasons bedding in new players, it would be great to see LOB back and ready to go from the off.
 
How much would you be happy to pay though?

I like him but he’s another midfielder who doesn’t offer enough in terms of goals or assists.

Reckon Scott and co will be looking at cheaper alternatives.
 
We need better to get promoted, probably his best game for us tonight though but don’t know what he was thinking for their goal (as he should have been expecting the ball give he was running back for it) or for going down holding his face being a knob

Forest will be giving him away due to FFP. Being left footed adds balance as well.
 
It’s OBriens wages? What is he on at Forest? If we can pick him up for a couple of Million…and he wants to take a pay cut.

2 mill and 15k a week..
He's ' safe enough ' to be third choice / howsons replacement.
We absolutely need a 2nd choice CM as well to partner Hackney..
Preferably a big physical athlete who likes putting his foot in
 
Its possible if Forest go down that his wages wont be as much, its the same if Leeds do not go up and Greenwoods wages. I would take the 3 loanees( incl Ayling) if the deals were right for us. We need better consistency at the start than we have had in the previous two seasons, last seasons start thucked us for automatic and this year it been one of the main contributory factors to probably not getting in the playoffs. At the moment Greenwood is coming for a lot of stick, go back a few months and posters were raving about him, he has a consistency problem, he is still young and before this season he did not have much 1st team experience, I think (I hope) with a whole preseason he might kick on and hopefully achieve more consistent performances, if his does we have a class player. UTB
 
Other than Greenwood, I thought he was the worst player on the pitch tonight. I can’t say I’ve really seen anything from him to want to sign him. He’s not a great passer, he’s not particularly athletic, he’s not great in the tackle either.

To put it in perspective, Howson has been far better than him every time they’ve played together and Howson is 35.

If mid-table is our ambition he’s decent enough, but I think there’s better out there we should be looking at.

Reports suggest he's on £15k - £45k pw ( likely the later is right )
We won't pay him , or anyone over £20k pw once Howson and Mcnair are off the books.
Alan Browne on a free would be my choice , £15k pw but no £2m+ fee.
Juninho Bacuna has decent figures and is an option .

Funny if you think we are paying Howson plus 20k a week when he has signed multiple one year contracts and likely getting reduced year on year.
