NFL draft starts tonight.

Managed to stay up until pick 21, just caught up with the rest of the first round now.

Penix to Atlanta by far the biggest surprise, nothing really shocking in the later picks. So many offensive players taken early this year.

Alt to the Chargers at No 5......and apparently a very deep OL class.

Which is good as I would like to see Washington pick up an OT (or 2) rounds 3-4-5.

Seems to be a pretty "safe" first round, no big reaches or moves. Penix is probably the big surprise, insurance as Cousins has come off a big injury 🤷🏻‍♂️

You were right. Interesting pick.
They were never starting Wilson or stidham and nix just seemed to fit.

Dolphins desperate for OL, draft a speedy edge rusher? I guess with Chubb and Phillips coming off injuries we needed depth and probably easier to address in the second

Washington, for years, adopted the "best available player" philosophy in the draft. Probably worked 10/100 times.........

Like I've said earlier, it's a very strong OL class this year so think a lot of teams are quite happy to pick up mid rounders in these positions.

The Dolphins need to up their defence and as stated above the O-Line is easier to recruit. I guess with all these "star QBs" around a QB Killer is a good pick. We've only got six picks so need to choose well.

All in all I found the first round a little predictable, with only the Falcons shaking things up, and maybe bit in a good way.

If the teams I follow, the Colts seem to have done well, but the Bengals seem to have taken a big risk.

Interesting second round pick for the Dolphins.

Offensive Tackle Patrick Paul. 6'8" 330lbs but with a wingspan (arm-span) of a ridiculous 8'2". Yet they don't expect him to be starting next season. I think he's one of those "too good to pass up" draftees?

Bottom line Yearbyred other than hopes and annual surprises I haven’t got any idea as to who my Steelers will come up with.

We have 7 picks total in the first 6 rounds… 20, 51, 84, 98, 119, 178 and 195.

The First-3-Rounder Mock Draft (with projected players still available at time of pick) I have been following came up with these four in order…

20 Troy Fautanu OT Washington
51 Zach Frazier C West Virginia
84 Jarrian Jones CB Florida State
98 Luke McCaffrey WR Rice

As per usual I’ll be eyeing the AFC North😘
Impressive Mock Draft for Steelers that. Nailed it on their top picks # 20 and # 51👍
