As I am sat here preparing for the first of 2 fantasy drafts today, I thought I'd start a thread to distract those of us who like NFL away from thoughts of everything Boro.
So only 4 days until the start of the season, and I am really looking forward to it! As a Chiefs fan* I am obviously optimistic about our chances, although it looks like being another season where the WR and RB roles are performed by committee rather than by star players (suits Mahomes' style more I guess.....and he always has Kelce to turn to in times of trouble!), but who else is there to look out for? As usual, AFC looks like being more tightly contested than NFC in my opinion.
As I live in Chicago I'm interested to see how the Bears do. If Fields can make a decent start then I can see them possibly making this a winning season (just) and I'm also curious to see how recent strugglers NY Jets and Detroit Lions do. My boss is a Lions fan and I've always had a soft spot for them (going to see them with him in December when they are in town to play the Bears). I just hope Detroit don't get going until week 2!
Thoughts everyone? Who's your team? Who is gonna do well? Who is gonna bust?
* I find it really uncomfortable to tell people I am a Chiefs fan, as I assume I get the same reaction I give Americans when they tell me they support Man City or Arsenal. They've come a long way from the non-entity locally supported team playing in red and white and not followed by anyone outside of their home city (the Boro comparisons were half of the reason I was drawn to them...the other half was that a friend of mine was from KC and is an avid fan and was determined that I become a Chief when I arrived in the States in 2016).
