Complete nonsense. Bernal won Route de L’Occitaine last month and following that win was 2nd in Tour de l’ain. He was in top 3 on first stage of the Dauphine before feeling a back strain. He’s as good as Ineos have and certainly at a better level currently than Thomas and Froome.
New blood , Thomas and Froome have seen their best years and to be fair to them they were glorious days but time moves on and so do Ineos.

You're quite correct of course, Sky are ruthless in their pursuit of the TDF and so can't hang on to any nostalgic feelings for former star riders.
Ruthless maybe but their decision makes perfect sense.
I know that but he looked in a worse state than Froome and Thomas the other day.Bernal's done nowt recently ??
I don't think anyone has done much recently given racing has only recently resumed (maybe I've missed your point), and he's arguably done more than both Thomas and Froome.
Oakley Flight Jacket, visions so much better without the top frame. He's also got much better glasses than either Thomas or Froome, and for that reason I'd take him. La Vie Clair inspired Oakleys as opposed to a pair of Jawbones from 2012 - only one winner.

Who is British cycings next big star? We've had such a purple patch of Grand Tour challengers. We don't seem to have anyone close at the minute.
Although I enjoy watching the Grand Tours, I wouldn't class myself a massive cycling fan so excuse my ignorance. But are any of these guys riding at the tour? And if so, would any of them have Young Rider / GC ambitions or would they be there purely as domestiques at this stage?Tom Pidcock or Tao Geoghegan Hart, even Great Ayton's own Charlie Tanfield who is riding for AG2R La Mondiale this year.
