Hate to talk about budgets but ours is totally wasted to be below mid table. Even if you take the disappointment away from last year’s performance. For us to be in this position is well, well below our historical par.

It's like that season when we signed Hoyte, Aliadiere and Digard. We convinced ourselves that these were dynamic, fast players who we had cleverly seen the qualities of above other more expensive options, but the realists who were written off as doom-mongers were sadly proven right.

If only managers like Guardiola could start eulogising about the benefits of side and backward passers of the ball, not afraid to move at pedestrian pace, we'd make a fortune selling our midfielders this summer.

Carrick has to be savvy enough to read the hand he has and adapt accordingly. He is demonstrating his lack of experience, once or twice with bristol and Preston but again….beater by Shyte. Because of the manager decisions; team picked, formation tactics. All wrong and not seemingly learning

I only have seen the Sky highlights, but the players were not doing what they did at Leicester i.e.mark the opposition tightly, tackle successfully, save shots or punch them away from goal. It almost looked like they were deliberately throwing the match it was that bad.

I feel Carrick is trying to be too clever. Before the game not one Boro fan would have said that they'd like to see McGree and Azaz playing as false 9's, with Silvera and Forss out wide.

I doubt many fans would have said they'd have Glover in goal ahead of Dieng either.
