Should we dump the dinosaur and go for Nuno?

  • Yes, get him in

  • No, give warnock until the end of the season and see who is available then

in wages/loan fees, mainly. Didn't they do deals for them to allow them to get top quality players but pay big fees after promotion. Not saying he wasn't funded, he was, but it was a lot of underhand dealings. Anyway, We spent a hell of a lot more that summer about 50mill
See my post it was mendes the entire club is run by and for him

Think your right on the structure of t he deals, only Neves was signed outright.
I think any capable manager could have got that team up, would be a gamble to see how he could do with only modest backing.
I think it may have been right job, at the right time with Wolves.

they were excellent but inexperienced players, and had to be integrated. When you look back at that team though they had Connor Coady, Cavaleiro and Costa, Matt Doherty and Barry Douglas, John Ruddy....the weakness was a rubbish CF. I agree he had a top top championship squad.

Definitely agree — as soon as Nunes lost his key players ie Jota I just thought he didn’t know what to do. Granted he took Wolves up with a good record but I also didn’t think he developed any players. Perhaps he’s a decent Championship manager but as we’ve just at Spurs he’s devoid of any leadership skills and his teams will operate on a recycle the ball policy before hoofing it.

Aye I'm another who doesn't get the love in. He's done a decent enough job at Wolves but he's had some excellent players provided.

Plus him and his team were a disgrace at the Riverside when they beat us in the promotion season. They were cruising but almost threw the game away by focussing on play acting and throwing their toys out of the pram because the ref didn't give them a few decisions. Tried to kick Traore off the pitch. Then celebrated as if he'd won the world cup.

Always thought he was a bit of a nob after that. Wasn't just us he behaved like that with either. Didn't Warnock give him a piece of his mind after they beat Cardiff too?
