NYSD Cricket Quiz Question

Just googled whether richie richardson played in the NYSD without much luck, but it did mention other west indians and one of the names that surprised me was Ian bishop playing for evenwood. However can't remember that name from the NYSD. Must be somewhere in Durham??

Brenton Parchment was West Indian who played at Boro 2003/2004

Can only be GG then!

Thinking back, did he play for Guisborough before Desmond Haynes?? Think he might have recommended Haynes, but my memory is a bit fuzzy on this!
I‘m not sure who he played for could’ve been Blackhall

I remember him (Richardson) captaining Yorkshire v Glamorgan at Acklam Park bur can't think of a NYSD team that he played for

What about the sub fielder from Richmond who caught the Aussie Captain out in the test ??
Gary Pratt
Haha. Pratt was a sub in a test match not an ODI. Mind you has ever a man been made famous for doing something on a sporting field who wasn’t officially allowed to be named.

Yeah but I thought he could have been a sub in a ODI final....it was Ricky Pointing he caught out with Harmison off the field (having a rest) 😜 The Aussies were in uproar as Pratt was a specialist fielder He was on the open topped bus with Flintoff and the rest after the Ashes win....He still plays in the NYSD

Richardson played further North for Gateshead Fell

Richie Richardson played for Blackhall for one season in either the late 80s or early 90s. Then they signed Clayton Lambert, who invented the switch hit shot (years before Pietersen) when he subsequently moved to Normanby Hall.
