We are being constantly bombarded by adverts about this "charity" lottery with a house as a prize. Nice Cotswold House up for grabs tomorrow. Has anyone got any experience of it? Reading online it looks like a bit of a scam....not sure charities should be promoting gambling anyway!

I don’t think it’s a scam - the last one raised a million pounds for the British heart foundation i think, but obviously the changes of winning are remote

Omaze are an online gaming company. By entering the draw ,you have as much chance of winning as the National Lottery , you give your email details to the company which bombard you with gambling offers and they sell your details to all and sundry also.
It's about as ethical as most other companies you give your details to.

I entered one purely because the first house was about a mile from where I live and I fancied winning it. Thought I was doing a bit for charity. Don’t think it’s a scam, there is an actual house to be won, but won’t be doing it again.
