Opening Titles

'John from Cincinnati'. Quite a surreal show from 2007, didn't last long unfortunately. Very cool title shots accompanied by 'Johnny Appleseed' by Joe Strummer

Did someone do a spoof Sopranos opening title in the Boro? I seem to remember a shot going aver Newport Bridge.

Glad no one has men tined Knight Rider.

I have always had a problem with the intro to that. especially the line "In a world where criminals operate above the law"

Isn't that every world? Isn't operating above the law the very definition of what makes you a criminal?

also as an IT geek I like this:

Not as good as the earlier ones with the Napster hot air ballon collapsing and the AOL building being taken over by Facebook but still plenty to of references to find.

I've jus noticed the top left corner has a Soylent green store.

On a bus the other day, someone happened to play the theme tune to Brookside on their phone (don't ask me why).

I never watched Brookside; in fact the tune was always the cue to turn over. However, just hearing it was like being back in the 80's (with much less hair, obviously). For a programme I never watched, it was strangely evocative.

Busy binging on the Sopranos during our lockdown, forgot how good the opening titles are.

Which programme for you has the best opening titles?
We saw Alabama 3 play it live at the empire a few years ago it’s even better live.

Great song but yes great intro.

Brilliant wasn’t it.

Tell you what, mid 80's- Loved this. Really of it's time, but great Sunday night TV memories as a student in Geordieland :)
