Our bench yesterday

For the first time in a while our bench yesterday looked strong. None of the nine players would have significantly weakened the team when used, and in a couple of cases (Jones and Azaz) arguably strengthen it. One consequence however was that there no youngsters.

There would be youngsters if they were good enough, we have youngsters in the first team, indeed one captained the side recently.

I would like to see Jones getting some game time at Brum and starting against Blackburn. If he is fit he should not be just sitting on the bench.
