Our Season Starts against Huddersfield

I think we have to forget about what's happened against Millwall and Coventry as our squads been half-baked. Hopefully we announce Engel and Latte early this week keep adding to the squad. But for me the season starts next week against Huddersfield as we will have a more completed squad by then if Latte and Engel get announced soon.

Looking at the fixtures Huddersfield H Westbrom A QPR H add in the Bolton A Cup game we could very easily go on a winning run and things be rosey again.

Conceded the same amount of goals as well, but not scored any, which isn't helped by our top scorer moving away and our other two best strikers ( Forss and Coburn) being on the bench at the start yesterday. .

Nothing is going to work right first time.. we’re still sounding out the dynamic of our side.. very quickly. Best to make as many mistakes as we can early doors.

We won once in our first 6 games last season, so no need to panic just yet. Plenty of games to play (y)

If we had been deducted 6 points by the EFL all hell would have broke loose on here but instead we have thrown six points away to two not very good sides.
 
It’s a totally crap start but that’s what it is a start. No one is promoted or relegated yet.

Couple of new players on Saturday hopefully can lift the crowd and they can lift the team.

25,000 Boro fans (Nobby not included😆) wanting us to get one over Mr Warnock would be good.

Hope we announce these players early this week though to boost attendance and sales as looking at the current map looks lowest attendance seen us have under Carrick
 
Someone relatively ‘ITK’ on oneBoro is saying we’re working on bringing in 3 players this coming week.

Can’t imagine all 3 will be in and in the squad for Saturday though, hopefully the striker and left back will be.

That only becomes true if they are mistakes and not a feature of our season.

Love comments like this. As if Carrick, Scott and co. spend half the summer sitting around doing nothing 🙄

They'll have wanted all signings done and dusted as early as possible. Unfortunately there are other clubs and players involved so it's not always possible.

Do you really believe they've not been working on it since the season ended? Really? They'll have been working on it earlier than that anyway never mind.

I agree but its kind of not the point is it?

We are nowhere near ready and whatever they have been doing is responsible for that.… and it’s not the first time.
’Working hard behind the scenes’ ……..
is all very laudible but if it doesn’t get you where you need to be at the right time questions ought to be asked.
