I know, there are very few shrinking violets in Argentinian football! Even Di Maria, an eight stone winger, looks like he’ll kill youI was always a bit confused when people were worried about his strength, as from what I have seen of it, the Argentinian league is pretty brutal at times. Getting used to the pace of the game is fair enough though and he does look a fair bit happier now than he did a few weeks ago,
I think you wrote the season off for him adiWho wrote him off? I genuinely can’t remember anyone.
To be fair, he looked as lost, in his first few appearances, as Bola did in his first season.I think you wrote the season off for him adi
miles away from being ready if i remember
Yep Aldi well and truly wrote him off, sometimes I think I'm the only one on here that knows what he's talking about. The majority of posters are massively wide of the mark most of the time...I think you wrote the season off for him adi
miles away from being ready if i remember
Then your recollection is incorrect. What I actually said was that (i) he looked miles away (because he was), (ii) he would need time to adjust and to settle and that (iii) I’d be happy to give him as long as he needed and (iv) not to be surprised if he needed a full season.I think you wrote the season off for him adi

Yeah rightoThen your recollection is incorrect. What I actually said was that (i) he looked miles away (because he was), (ii) he would need time to adjust and to settle and that (iii) I’d be happy to give him as long as he needed and (iv) not to be surprised if he needed a full season.
That’s not writing the season off for him and it’s the opposite of writing him off completely. I would now add (v) don’t be surprised if he doesn’t pull trees up every week and is a bit inconsistent.
I remember what you said adi and I’ve just copied the quote
“He isn’t ready to play. He is well off being in the team. I would neither be surprised nor concerned if he barely featured this side of Christmas or even until next season.”
