Paddy McNair

Paddy was exceptional tonight .... as he has been for most of the season so far. Some people don't appreciate a player who is never on the treatment table ... genuinely loves football so much that he wants to play every game ...whether it be for us or Northern Ireland... and regardless of whether he is not having his best game ... will never 'go missing' as some players do. He has been asked to play in so many positions but it's so obvious that he is a natural centre half and we look so better when he is part of that. I dearly that hope we offer him a contract worthy of his ability and importance to this squad.
 
Easy. Keep him until the end of the season then double his wages when we are in the Premier League. (y)
 
I'm sure in those wages tables he's one of our highest earners by someway. I talking 20 - 25k a week. I don't know accurate they are?

That's a hell of a lot for a champo CB outside of parachute payments. You'd think he would at least want the same or a slight pay rise. So no chance.

We've rightly moved on from those days. Especially as it would be over 3-4 years. That said if we can wangle it then he's worth a new deal.

A quick Google tells me that he's 14 short of 200 appearances. You can't knock that. He more than replayed his 5mil transfer fee👌

Been one of McNairs biggest critics in the past but he's been fantastic this season.
