The hypocrisy and shameless greed of these golfers is sadly not surprising. I’d have more respect for them if they just came out and said they couldn’t turn down the dosh but to come out with this “refreshing” “reshaping golf” nonsense is pure bollox.

That’s what’s so weird about this as despite the toxicity of being in it but from PR outside the game and from fellow Pros within it like tiger etc they honestly don’t seem to care.

The negative PR did for the proposed super league as sponsors got nervy and pulled out but with LIV the greed factor doesn’t seem to an issue.

It really has highlighted what a bunch of greed money obsessed lot most golfers are.

The whole thing is a circus. Throwing every cliché about how it is growing the game, making it more inclusive and more entertaining.

The standard is terrible and the majority of golfers are well past their best.

The fact they had Trump as part of the Pro-Am speaks volumes. I watched the first couple of events through curiosity however it won't be getting put on again. Even more so now they have included Feherty as part of their commentary team.

The political ramifications of this are already coming into focus as when Trump was asked about hosting and the 9/11 families who are protesting it he said that nobody has ever got to the bottom of what happened on 9/11. He's basically standing with Saudi money rather than the victims of 9/11.
Then you have the 28 GOP senators who flipped their votes to defeat the PACT bill designed to help Iraq and Afghan war veterans exposed 5o burn pits. Why did they do this? Simply because they were ***ed off that the Dems had passed a climate bill.
The GOP are 'America First' of course.

That's just his prize money, not his earnings which is closer to $200m.
He and DeChambeau are playing a round with Trump and his son, in my book that makes him a knobhead even before I get to his greed over this tournament.
