Warnock wants to sort the financial details for the deal hopefully this week and get it announced soon as, preferably this following week. He said he thinks he gives us something that little bit more than we seen last night.

Also hinted at another South American player been possibly signed. Exciting times again to be a boro fan. Hopefully it’s one of these Brazilian strikers.

Asked if the other player was also a South American, Warnock just smiled and said, ‘It could be.’

The Boro boss was also asked about other transfers and said they were seriously looking at or talking to three players about potential moves currently.

'Wants to' and 'will be' are two different verbs though, innit? Won't rest easy until we get this one over the line. Gentleman's agreements aren't worth a carrot - as Harry Kane is finding out.

Yeah of course but I don’t think he would say if it didn’t look extremely likely. Think it’s the first time he said we are close to announcing it so it’s a promising thing. Payero is now following ‘house and stay’ based in Skelton on Twitter or Instagram (can’t remember which) they must be helping him find a place in the area.
 
Hopefully the 3 domestic targets are a 1st choice keeper, LB/CB (Brown) and a seriously good striker. Plus Payero & another Striker from abroad. No complaints about the signings so far but we need some serious quality now to make a difference.

You thinking Lumley won’t be first choice? I’ve got a feeling he will be. If we sign someone better though. All the better 👍
 
While it’s great to see the squad forming, we haven’t brought in a better standard of player than we already have. We need some real quality in important position to go up. Match winners in a keeper, Attacking Midfielder & Striker. Payero may be that midfielder.
 
Ikpeazu is looking quite useful,especially of holding the ball up to lay it of to someone in a better position

Yep, I think so too. I don't know much about him, but from what I've read QPR fans rate him and think he's a bit unlucky to have been a back up. Just been one of those situations where a club has two good keepers who deserve to play.

Suspect the offer of first team football is why he's come.

Thought they usually put them up at Hurworth, until they find someplace.

I thought so too. But it is interesting that he’s following that firm. They were also at the game last night in some capacity and met with Warnock.

Fully agree👍. It's nice to see a forward who's actually a physical threat. Also doesn't go down looking for free kicks (Hugill). I imagine he's a real pain to play against.

He's raw and I'm not expecting loads of goals as his career doesn't suggest that. I think it's more what he brings and 10+ will be an expected return.

Sounds like banfield are just slowing things down, in hope of a big european club likes payero at the olympics and will offer more money to me.
