Coming back from the international break hasn't gone to plan has it? But playing a Warnock inspired Huddersfield and runaway Champions elect Burnley......two very, very difficult games which we have come away empty handed.

But look where we were in October - hurtling towards League 1, disorganised and clueless.

Carricks turnaround has been nothing short of incredible, from relegation threatened to promotion fighting in a few months.

It been great to watch, best football we've seen in years. So having a bit of a dip in form was expected sometime, just bad timing so close to the end of the season. We've time to get this out of our system and go into the playoffs in good form and with confidence.

One thing Carrick can't do is manage the fans expectations......and a little reality is now needed.

So, a little perspective over the season and any need to start to grumble, moan and get on the players backs? Just need everyone to get behind the team and keep fingers crossed for the rest of the season 👍

I think we will go into the play off’s in a run off form, in a way the pressure is off now, that 2nd place monkey can be removed from our necks and now confidently secure 3rd/4th place spot, I think this time we successfully navigate our way through to a Wembley victory.

Fully agree. I don't care about last nights result. Walking out the ground I was already putting it out my head. It's time to focus on Bristol City, we can't really have many gripes about losing to a team who've been aboard HMS p!ss the league since August.

It's the next six games where dropping points is going to be a worry, because none of the upcoming teams are better than us. We've always been good at bouncing back from defeats under Carrick and despite Ashton Gate being a bit of a bogey ground for us, I'm confident we go there and resume routine service of picking up three points.

I get this perspective thing, yes back in October of course we would have given anything to be where we are now, the worry is that we could throw away a gilt edged opportunity for the play offs.

Bristol City away is going to be tough and after recent performances away from home (Huddersfield/West Brom) we could easily get beat. That’s then 3 lost on the spin and could go in to the Norwich game with them only 4 points behind us.

A point and a decent performance on Monday and we’re back on track for the play offs, a loss and another Huddersfield performance and we have to start to worry I think.

I thought we played well last night against the strongest team in the league. They managed the ref well and we lacked that bit of wily experience to counter that. I think we have enough to get third place, and in a way its good that the Bristol and Norwich games are coming up so quickly.

Thought we were okay last night, without playing amazingly.

A few players off the boil, but we still had chances against the best team in the league and would probably have drawn with VAR.

It's more the results that are slightly concerning than the performances for me.

At a maximum, and that's only if Norwich/Preston win every single remaining game, we need 4 wins from 6 to confirm a spot in the play-offs.

I thought we were flat last night, played "okay" and credit has to be given to Burnley for stopping us from playing our game.

We've got enough for the playoffs, but we need to get that 3/4th spot to give ourselves a slight advantage. Every little helps.

Get beat Monday, and draw/lose v. Norwich will be a bit concerning.

Agree. And then theres luton away. Would hope if tbis happened it would be a jolt we need to get the job done in remaing games. Playoffs not guaranteed yet. I'd say 7-8 points needed yet.

‘They managed the ref well’.

This is an excellent point and is something we have been poor on for a long long time, you get nothing in the football world for being a gentleman’s team.

We did it well in our last promotion season with Leadbitter as captain. How many narrow nerve shredding wins or vital points did we get in that season because we had the mental edge?
